The Mound: Who We Are
Coming upon Military retirement, Ant Mound Logistics was established by, owner/operator, Anthony Ross, in January of 2018. Now a retired veteran of 32 years, here is Anthony's story:
"While driving was a passion of mine, watching a TV show titled Shipping Wars sparked my interest in the profession. Afterwards, hotshot trucking became a passion and I was in hot pursuit! I started with a Ram 3500 Dually and a 40ft flatbed gooseneck trailer hauling freight and cars, before transitioning over to semi-trucks and trailer in January of 2022.
How did I come up with the name Ant Mound Logistics? The company name Ant Mound Logistics has dual origins. Short for Anthony, close friends and family refer to me by the nickname, Ant. I also equated my singular start as a hotshot driver to a single ant's capability to carry 10-50 times their own weight which is synonymous to a truck's ability to haul heavy loads. The ant mound is symbolic to the terminal or home base. The lines of ants you see transporting food and supplies to the colony, is identical to the array of routes taken for delivery. Whether business or personal, I drive goods to their designated home."
